Weekend Trip to Amsterdam:
I went to
Amsterdam with my 3 girlfriends from Cologne in Germany. It was in April 2013 and just for the weekend.
We travelled from Cologne to Amsterdam by train. It took about 2.5 hours on the
ICE (Inter-City-Express) with no transfer. We chose Amsterdam because it is one
of the most beautiful cities in Europe and very famous for its buildings,
canals and museums. It can be reached easily by train from Cologne. We took a canal boat cruise to get a general
overview of the city. We visited several museums. We walked on the famous
streets of Amsterdam. We enjoyed also
the delicious food of Amsterdam such as appetizers like “bitter ballen”, deep
fried croquettes, French fries with mayonnaise and Holland’s most popular
cheese Gouda. I recommend to everyone to
go to Amsterdam and visit this nice city.
