Visitor in Memphis

Hello everyone! I came from Argentina to the USA just three weeks ago. I will stay in Memphis only for two months because I want to learn English. But, in addition I wish to know the city as much as possible. I have read and I have heard some suggestions and I want to share them with you.
One of the most important tourist places is "Graceland", the house where lived the "king of Rock & Roll", Elvis Presley. Go to Graceland's Meditation Garden could be a peaceful and free experience.
The famous "Beale Street" is known like the birthplace of the blues. In this street we can find a lot of bars, lights and great music.
Also, I would like to go to see a game of The Memphis Grizzlies, one of the most famous basketball teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Finally, somebody suggested me that I could visit The Orpheum Theatre and the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968.

I hope that you would like know these interesting places like me! Greetings!

  2. Dear Mariana, welcome to Memphis! I hope your stay will be nice and enjoyable in all ways. All of the places you mentioned are good; I would add Stax Museum and the Sun Studio (if you like music), the Shell for outdoor concerts, and various local restaurants. :)
